  • What is your Warranty?

    Included is a 90 Day Warranty for workmanship and Lake Forest Computer supplied parts. We offer no warranty for customer supplied hardware or software. Our representative will confirm all of your concerns have been addressed prior to accepting payment and making payment confirms you received services as promised. We want you to call us anytime you have a computer related concern and will do our best to provide wow level of service.

  • What is your maximum Liability?

    The maximum liability Lake Forest Computer will accept is the cost the customer paid for the engagement. Lake Forest Computer accepts zero responsibility related to anything beyond and offers no agreements or guarantees beyond this whether oral or written.

  • How quickly can you fix my computer?

    This greatly depends on the repairs needed. Software related issues can be quick then we will take 10-15 minutes to preform a system scan, set system recovery points, check for software updates and patches, and install them. For more complicated repairs such as a motherboard replacement it can be an hour or two. Once we know what the issue is, we can provide better turn around time estimates.

  • What is your travel policy?

    We have a flat $25 fee to travel to you which includes up to 15 miles of travel from 25422 Trabuco Rd Lake Forest, CA 92630. Extra $2/mi outside of that service area. If you purchase a diagnostic from us at $75, the travel fee is included. The travel fee is most applicable for our customers who know what needs to be fixed. Some examples would be fan or power supply replacement.

  • Can you fix my internet?

    Absolutely! In fact if your network is running slow or you have intermittent connection issues, we can rebuild and secure your home or office. The first step to this would be to right size your environment for wifi access points, setting up a new gateway/router, and protecting it all with a pfsense based firewall. Our solution is not only scalable but it has been thoroughly tested to provide stable gigabit WAN/LAN connectivity for hundreds of clients, simultaneously. And well if you are into it, it will look incredibly high tech.

  • Do you sell parts too?

    We do. Lake Forest Computer is owned by GIGDATA LLC which is a parts and systems supplier in business since 2019. If you want to replace or upgrade your computers, we can help.

  • What is required to work for me?

    Your systems must have genuine software licenses. We are only able to support systems that have genuine software licenses from the manufacturer. If a device with non genuine software somehow made it into your possession, we can assist you with bringing it into compliance before we begin support.

  • How often can I use my support contract?

    We are here for you. Buying a maintenance contract from us means we will support you. While it is uncommon to have regular computer issues, we understand things happen and will be patient with you. When we first begin support, we preform a lot of optimization and preventative maintenance to ensure you don’t run into many issues. We also ensure your anti-virus and firewall is configured correctly and are happy to login and help you with updates and health checks on a routine basis.

  • Can you provide more details into Network Consultation?

    Absolutely. We will visit you for this engagement. We will test both wired and wireless connectivity. We will suggest improvements on both the hardware and software front. If you have the budget we can do a overhaul of your existing network and firewall including low voltage cabling to improve network performance dramatically. We create environments and systems that just work with no hassle.

  • How do Phone Consultations work?

    If you require expert guidance our phone consultations are a great way to get advice, pick our engineers brains, or get best practices for various IT related projects. Once you buy a phone consult from our website, we will contact you to book a call within 24 hours of purchase. We can call you on a date of time of your choosing or you are welcome to call us.

  • Your website states Hacker Prevention - Please Explain

    Networks and computers have never been more secure but hackers use techniques to confuse you into logging into some service, clicking something unintended through social media, or downloading something from your email. With a phone consult, we can give you many scenarios to prepare you and with a remote session, we can check your computer and firewall to ensure everything looks clean.

  • What Server Administration Options are available?

    We have an on-site $65/hr rate to help you with any and all server related tasks. This includes rack and stacking, rip and replacing, running cables, deploying OS, network configuration, or deploying new services for LAN or WAN clients. We have experience with both Windows and Unix based systems and are available to augment your team on a as needed basis.
