We ship your device to our third-party repair partner, who performs the board-level work in their clean, dedicated microsoldering facility. Bench times are how long the board work itself takes once the device reaches the depot. Your door-to-door time is 4–6 weeks including shipping both ways.

What these faults actually are
Touch Disease and the M1 jumper
The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus flex more than any generation before or since, and repeated flex eventually cracks the solder joints under the touchscreen controller. The result is a flickering grey bar across the top of the screen and touch that stops responding, sometimes only when the phone is held a certain way. The fix reflows or replaces the touch IC and adds a small jumper wire to relieve strain on the repaired joint so the fault does not simply return in a few months.
Tristar, charging, and the SWI battery jump
Tristar negotiates power delivery over the Lightning port; when it fails the phone often will not charge at all, or only at odd cable angles. A related but separate fault is the battery gas gauge (SWI) losing sync with the board, which shows up as the battery percentage jumping erratically or the phone dying well above 0%. Both are chip-level fixes, not new batteries or new ports.
No power and baseband faults
A completely dead 6 that shows no charging symbol and no boot logo is almost always a shorted or failed component pulling down the power rail, which a board-level bench can trace and replace. Baseband ('no service') faults are the one item on this list we cannot promise in advance — we diagnose first and only charge if the fix works.

If it holds data you need, yes — board repair is a fraction of the cost of data recovery from a dead phone. If it is just a spare device, we will tell you honestly when it is not worth the money.
Will I lose my data?
No — every repair on this list except the NAND repair (Error 4013) and CPU swap is non-destructive. Those two wipe the device; we flag that clearly before starting.
What if the repair doesn't work?
In most cases there is no repair fee and you only pay return shipping. If someone else has already opened the phone, an unsuccessful attempt carries a $60 bench fee.
