Microsoldering & Board-Level Repair
Microsoldering is component-level circuit board repair — fixing the chip or connector that actually failed instead of replacing an entire assembly or writing the device off. We work with a specialized third-party repair partner depot to offer this for iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy, Android phones and game consoles, at one price for everyone, home users and repair shops alike.
We ship your device to our third-party repair partner, who performs the board-level work in their clean, dedicated microsoldering facility. Lake Forest Computer handles intake, logistics, insurance and communication end to end — you deal with us, not them. Current lead time is 4–6 weeks door to door. All parcels ship USPS with signature required.

What these faults actually are
What board-level repair covers that a screen shop can't
A screen or battery replacement swaps a part. Microsoldering fixes the board itself — reflowing or replacing a failed chip, rebuilding a torn connector pad, or tracing a short to the component that caused it. It's the right tool for a phone that looks dead after a drop or a spill, not just one with a cracked screen.
How the process works
Your device ships to our third-party repair partner's depot with signature-required tracking, is diagnosed and repaired on the bench, tested, and shipped back the same way. Bench work itself is often just days; the honest door-to-door number, including logistics both ways, is 4–6 weeks.
One price for everyone
Whether you're an individual customer or you run a repair shop, the pricing on every page here is the same. There's no separate trade tier and no minimum volume.
How depot repair works
You contact us and describe the fault. We confirm the price from your device's page above, take payment for shipping, and send you the details to get the device to the depot. Our repair partner diagnoses it, performs the board-level work, and tests it. It ships back to you USPS with signature required. Door to door, budget 4–6 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my device needs board-level repair instead of a screen or battery swap?
If the phone is dead, won't charge, has no display with a known-good screen, or failed after water exposure, it's very likely a board fault. Pick your device below for the specific symptom list.
Will I lose my data?
Most board repairs are non-destructive. The exceptions — NAND repair, NAND upgrade, and CPU-swap recovery — are called out clearly on the pages where they apply, and we confirm with you before doing anything that wipes the device.
What if the repair doesn't work?
In most cases there's no repair fee and you pay return shipping only. A $60 bench fee applies if the device was already opened by another shop.
Do you offer data recovery even if the repair itself isn't possible?
Yes — data recovery is available across nearly every device family we cover, including boards too damaged to power on. See the data recovery overview page.
