iPhone 11 Microsoldering Repair

The 11 carries the X-series' stacked board design forward. Simple faults are a single-chip fix; persistent no-service or no-WiFi faults need the bottom board swapped, and we diagnose which before quoting a final number.

These are depot repairs.

We ship your device to our third-party repair partner, who performs the board-level work in their clean, dedicated microsoldering facility. Lake Forest Computer handles intake, logistics, insurance and communication end to end — you deal with us, not them. Current lead time is 4–6 weeks door to door. All parcels ship USPS with signature required.

What these faults actually are

No service that survives a reball

Most no-service faults on the 11 clear with a sandwich reball. When the fault persists after that, or shows up together with no WiFi, the cause is usually the bottom board itself and it needs to be swapped rather than reballed again. We test after the reball step before escalating, so you're not charged for the more expensive repair unless it's actually needed.

Backlight and power faults

No backlight, half backlight, or no power at all on the 11 are typically a failed component on the power or backlight rail rather than a broken screen — swapping the screen alone will not fix these.

How depot repair works

You contact us and describe the fault. We confirm the price from the table above, take payment for shipping, and send you the details to get the device to the depot. Our repair partner diagnoses it, performs the board-level work, and tests it. It ships back to you USPS with signature required. Door to door, budget 4–6 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you charge me for the expensive repair by default?

No — we start with the reball, test it, and only move to a bottom board swap if the fault is still there. You're quoted the actual repair your phone needed.

Will I lose my data?

No, aside from CPU-swap data recovery work, which is destructive and always confirmed first.

What if the repair is unsuccessful?

No fee in most cases, return shipping only. A $60 bench fee applies to devices already opened elsewhere.
