Our Android coverage is built around data recovery, from straightforward backups on a working phone to chip-off recovery on boards that will never power on again.
We ship your device to our third-party repair partner, who performs the board-level work in their clean, dedicated microsoldering facility. Lake Forest Computer handles intake, logistics, insurance and communication end to end — you deal with us, not them. Current lead time is 4–6 weeks door to door. All parcels ship USPS with signature required.

Bench times are the board work itself. Door-to-door, including shipping both ways, is 4–6 weeks.

What these faults actually are
Chip-off recovery on older Android generations
On Android 5.0 through 7.0-era devices, the eMMC or UFS storage chip is desoldered from the board and read directly, which is the only way to recover data from a phone that won't power on. It's a more invasive process than a live-device backup, which is why the price range is wider on this end of the lineup.
Pixel pry damage after a screen repair
A Pixel phone that lost its display image right after a screen replacement, but otherwise still boots and takes calls, is a classic sign a pry tool caught a display flex connector during that repair rather than a fault with the new screen itself.
How depot repair works
You contact us and describe the fault. We confirm the price from the table above, take payment for shipping, and send you the details to get the device to the depot. Our repair partner diagnoses it, performs the board-level work, and tests it. It ships back to you USPS with signature required. Door to door, budget 4–6 weeks.
