A console that shows no picture usually has a damaged HDMI port or a failed retimer, not a dead motherboard. Both are board-level repairs.
We ship your device to our third-party repair partner, who performs the board-level work in their clean, dedicated microsoldering facility. Lake Forest Computer handles intake, logistics, insurance and communication end to end — you deal with us, not them. Current lead time is 4–6 weeks door to door. All parcels ship USPS with signature required.

What these faults actually are
HDMI ports, retimers and encoders
A console with no picture has usually taken a knock to the HDMI cable while plugged in, bending the port's pins or lifting it off the board. On the PS4 and Xbox One the port itself is often the whole fault. On PS5 and Series X the signal also passes through a retimer chip that can fail on its own, which is why a port swap alone sometimes does not fix it — the board has to be diagnosed, not just re-ported.
Switch charging ports and charging ICs
The Switch's USB-C port takes the strain of every dock cycle and eventually tears from the board. If the console was charged with a low-quality third-party dock, the charging IC behind it may have failed too. Both are replaceable at the board level.

You contact us and describe the fault. We confirm the price from the table above, take payment for shipping, and send you the details to get the device to the depot. Our repair partner diagnoses it, performs the board-level work, and tests it. It ships back to you USPS with signature required. Door to door, budget 4–6 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to send with the console?
The complete console only. No power cable and no controller. For a PS5 you can remove the white side covers so it fits a smaller box.
Is return shipping really included?
Yes — console prices include return shipping. You pay $25 to get it to the depot and nothing on the way back.
How should I pack it?
Bubble-wrap the console thoroughly and use a box with room for padding on every side. Consoles arrive damaged more often than phones, almost always from thin packing.
Are there extra charges?
Previous repair attempts and ripped pads add to the price — we will quote before doing the work. Devices must also arrive clean and free of pests; that is a hard requirement of the facility.
